WASHINGTON - Once again, Donald Trump isn't backing down from comments that have inflamed the Republican presidential race.
At an Iowa GOP forum Saturday, Trump dismissed Arizona Sen. John McCain's reputation as a war hero, saying McCain was merely captured in Vietnam and "I like people who weren't captured."
That's caused an uproar. But Trump isn't repentant.

Wasn’t McCain a candidate a few years ago that mentioned either removing or restoring the ‘Flag’ in South Carolina (think fellow butt boy Lindsey was involved). Whatever stand he originally took, got changed almost immediately for the flack he received from the OTHER side...
I am not particularly a Trump Fan, but I do like his candor and his style of handgrenade throwing and he doesn’t back down and I don’t think there are any left to ‘buy him’ that he hasn’t aleady hit up.
I would like to see him continue and bring in such worthy help as Palin, Dick Cheney, John Bolton among the fellow ‘pineapple tossers’ to keep the Libs ‘off balance’.
Sorry the crowded field of egotistical SOB’s in the R ‘race’ (including Trump) doesn’t seem to realize Trump is keeping the media off their backs...
I guess the main reason for the non support for DT is the rest of the idiots are afraid Americans - of all flavors - will see that in essence, Trump is correct.

Yes, this piece was excellent. I actually think it was a slip of the tongue and he meant to say “was a war hero”, which he then said four more times. But hard to tell.
He got my respect with the illegal alien issue. He keeps my respect by saying exactly what he thinks and not backing down and caving to the “thought police”. Screw ‘em.
