So, I shouldn’t be looking to pick up Day Laborers at the Home Despot between 2 and 5pm, then?

That is a bit of jackbooted thuggery that I could endorse!

No wonder Spain is not too far behind Greece.
A three hour break in preparation for a 30 min nap. OK!

We all are familiar with the Mexican ‘siesta’ and it was always described as being due to laziness.
Which isn’t true. It was being done then for the same reason this is being done now.
I’m not in Spain or Mexico and today, I worked outside mowing from 8 til 12. I’m on siesta right now.

?A three hour break in preparation for a 30 min nap.It would seem logical that after the siesta, they would finish their time out in the evening hours when it was cooler.

In addition to that, all citizens will be required to change their underwear every half-hour. Underwear will be worn on the outside so we can check. Furthermore, all children under 16 years old are now... 16 years old!

IF I had a ‘siesta’ time, I certainly wouldn’t spend it laying on the roof. Unless it’s cooler there than it looks, I’d at least want some shade.

Can we make this guy Mayor of Washington, DC? And extend the naps out to eight hours?
To: JoeProBono
I would give just about anything to be able to nap. Just shut off the mind and sleep.
To: Sir Napsalot
It’s because Spaniards eat their dinners like around midnight and stay out all night until 6AM.

A doctor checks as people sleep a siesta during the first Siesta Championship in Madrid. The participants of the siesta contest win points for the first person to fall asleep, the loudest snorer, best original sleeping position and best dressed sleeper. Doctors are present to check if the contestants are really asleep.

It’s probably illegal to sleep on the benches.

Right you are! the ‘siesta” was for the hottest time of the day. Shut down for a bit then back to work.
However, do you remember a song called “Tomorrow” in Spanish... men yan ahh.. or some such?
