Looks to me like the punk came up to her and started grabbing and saying stuff to her before she hit him. And before she did it looked like she was trying to warn him to get back and/or leave her alone. I hope that piece of crap wasn't her boyfriend.
The vidoe shows her going to the bar with him following her (did they know each other? Was he hitting on her previously?). He crowded and pushed into her personal space from behind, and she seemed to take offense and was telling him off. He then laid his hands on her and pushed her back into the pussy-boy behind her (escalation and assault). At that point she hit him (self-defense?) and he (like the true macho-man football player he is) hit her back.
They got into a verbal altercation (previous friction?)..
He pushed/grabbed/choked her..(assault)
She hit him..
He hit her..
Regardless, you don't hit women, especially when you are tapped to be the quarterback of your college team (example of leadership?). He may have killed his football career with that move.
Plus he was in a bar, and he was under 21...
No. I wish I could slow the video down to near frame by frame. Maybe others will have some good information but it appears that he grabbed her right arm with his left arm and didn't let go. His right arm also appears to be making contact with her, and a third party tries to push his left arm away from her right arm. Possibly she objected to being manhandled and threw the wiffle punch, and then he threw a real punch. As for the law, she had the right to be in the bar to consume alcohol. Unless Florida law permits people who are not employees who are under 21 to be in a bar, he was there illegally.

The guy forces his way up to the bar, puts his hands on her from behind, she turns and begins to protest, then he grabs her with both hands. She tries to push him away and then tries to swing at him and then he punches her.
The guy was wrong at every step of the incident.

With spy cameras everywhere, it's gone way over board, taking situations out of context, and there being no attempt for "innocent until proven guilty" or showing compassion for human imperfection. It detracts from the real cases of maniacs who assault people just because they like to. JMHO

The bar ho threw a punch at him, he has a right to defend himself. And besides I think she had 20 pounds on him!
I watched it several times. He was the aggressor, and should not have been in the bar in the first place. She is 21, he is 19.
I viewed the video and he might not have even known this woman before the incident. This YUTE may be destined to be a murderer...particularly now that his dreams of NFL fame have evaporated along with ANY prospects for him.
