“The Chronicles of Narnia” film series has been somewhat at sea since “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” (2010), the film adaptation of the third book published in the fantasy series.

With a Blu-Ray edition of “The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” to be released next week, Narnia fans are wondering what’s next for the series. Christian viewers in particular are concerned if production changes mean the books’ spiritual themes will make it on to the big screen.

Reports in 2011 suggested that book six – the creation-myth prequel “The Magician’s Nephew” – might be adapted next, rather than book four, “The Silver Chair,” which follows “Dawn Treader” both in terms of narrative and in publishing order. ...

Wonderful book. But she's green, not purple.

Frowns... In the version scripted by Charles and I, she will be purple.

More seriously - what a film that would be. Spectacular and full of myth and meaning. Much better than Avatar.

"That Hideous Strength" might be a little too close to current events to be quite comfortable . . .

The Great Divorce is my favorite as well.

Who is Max McLean and where does one find him?

I did read the whole article. I first discovered him when I was listening to the NIV Bible on BibleGateway on the internet. I listened through it twice before I sought more about the reader/performer. I then discovered that he performed The Screwtape Letters. You can find some of it on Youtube. He more recently produced The Great Divorce. It’s interesting but I don’t think it’s as good as just sitting down and reading the book. He also performed Genesis and the Gospel of John, both wonderful.

Dang! It was here a month ago, and I missed it! Maybe they will film it . . .?

No, they wouldn't touch Hideous Strength with a ten-foot pole.
