Something that I learned in the last 2 weeks, females play soccer, and we have some kind of national female soccer team that won the world something or other.

Bruce Jenner was highly offended. What if some of those ladies identified as fathers or brothers or something.

If a tweet said that the men’s teams were going back to be “fathers, partners, and sons” there would be no problem.

I see nothing offensive about a comment that the girls are done in the tournament, and go back to being wives and mothers, etc. I think you have to be a member of the perpetually outraged liberal fringe to find malicious intent in such a comment.

Exactly.
The tweet was simply making the point that these women are not professional athletes.

LOL. The EFA thought they were being politically correct by adding “partners” in there but they should have known better. The mob wants blood. You can’t placate it no matter how hard you try.

I would much rather watch the ladies play soccer that the guys. The guys are mostly actors - gets hit in the head then rolls around on the ground grabbing his ankle.

Yeah, but in Mexican soccer, once the trainer applies the Magic Sponge ®, the player is rescued from his imminent, agonizing death and returns to the game. :=)

If a tweet said that the mens teams were going back to be fathers, partners, and sons there would be no problem. No, but it still wouldn't make any sense. It's not as if they stopped being all those things while playing a sport.
