I don't think the godless commies at Scroogle care that the US is doing well. I think they are celebrating the global participation to the exclusion of any recognition of "US".

I actually noticed that they were all Black but was not sure that was the intent or not. Now that I think about it, being Google, they may well have meant them to be Black as well as black.
Still not sure tho. The thing which did rub me just a little was the black hand but it probably was just meant to say “we’re number one”.
Then again, it is Google.

i first started using google way back in the early fall of 1998 when they were mostly just known to people around silicon valley. back then, they prominently flaunted their corporate motto on their website, “don’t be evil”. little did we know then that it was just a motto with no substance behind it.
