Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, will allow illegal immigrants to stay in the U.S. on one condition — that they stay “productive.” The billionaire real estate mogul says that if he’s elected president, he’ll allow undocumented workers stay in America if they’re productive and not abusing the system by not contributing to it. Otherwise, he’d have them deported.

I don’t doubt that.

My point is that you are loaded because the presence of illegals shifted the market. The businesses adapted to the market price. Low wage slaves tipped the balance, drove wages down and put skilled workers off the market.

If there were no ‘hard working’ Trump illegals, that would not have happened. So keeping them here displaces American workers and wages while simultaneously attracting more illegals to compete. Even 101 race to the bottom.

Eliminate that issue, wages rise and people return to the market without the need to fight over table scraps.

The courts on the illegals is not what I’m talking about...I’m talking only about only the illegal jobs issue and welfare. And common sense, but supply and demand proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that welfare perverts the jobs markets, whether you are talking about illegals or not.

It is an artificial injecting into the job pricing market.

But you are right, the courts are a major problem for the border, and one of the reasons there will never ever be mass deport. Every case will be tied up in some court for years, and probably reach the wrong outcome.

The US needs several maximum security prisons right on the border with Mexico. They would not be prisons as such, but detention centers. And any illegal who commits a serious crime will be put there after serving their US sentence, until Mexico agrees to take them back. Then they will be flown to Mexico City, not just kicked across the border.

For year, Arizona had a very successful program of flying planeloads of illegals from Phoenix to DF. It is almost a thousand rough miles to get to the US from there, so most stayed in Mexico. It was very cost effective.

In any event, this would give the Mexican government time to assimilate the criminals, which keeping them secure up here.

Nice try by the Donald .... But libs will see to it that their little illegal darlings will get every benefit under the sun just for being “poor.”

Not buying it. The law is the law ....(of course, now it’s I question whether we are anymore a nation of laws.....).

I amazes my otherwise intelligent people think that third world Mexicans cannot figure out how to go home when they got to the USA essentially pennies and desperate in the first place. Now that they have scammed for years, and have money now, they somehow cannot figure out how to backtrack back to Old Mexico. Or other points south.

Overall there is only one solution I see. No one wants to deal with it but it is what it is. Fence/wall, Heavy fines and loss of liscencing for anyone employing illegals, criminal sentences and getting libs off the court/out of power.

Pie in the sky? Today absolutely. But it doesn’t change the reality of it. Overall we all talk. And talk. None of what we say is new. None of it is wrong per se. We are all headed in the same direction. But we collectively commit category error every time we get into fences and welfare and the rest.

The reductionist method reveals liberalism is the problem. That is where all of our collective effort should concentrate. Because ultimately, all gences have gates and liberals hire busses to drive illegals through them quasilegally. All welfare can be court approved. All business can be given special dispensation.

We did bot succumb to liberalism overnight and won’t cure ourselves overnight. But we have to ultimately go to the core of the issue and it goes far afield of immigration.

who said anything about figuring out how to go home....it’s more like no incentive to go home, or maybe the incentive to get hand outs to stay in the US.

Oh I agree, my only point on Donald here is that he did correctly indicate that there are two different types of illegals, and their impact on our country is very different.

That is simply not debatable. BUt of course you are right about the left.....

Your supposition that enforcing strict hiring practices and PROSECUTING employers that hire illegals will not work. It does work as you just have to prosecute one or two and the word gets out real quick. Works every time. But hte initiate has to come fro the top, the AG has to start the ball rolling.

“Do you really think every lawn mowing job has been “stolen” from an American? Do you think every hotel maid job has been stolen from Americans? Do you really think every janitorial job has been stolen from an American? Or vegetable picking?”

You can research the statistics online and you will find that the jobs the Mexicans are taking involve much more than the ones you have mentioned.

Don’t tell the Trumpers this...they think he is the only one to come up with these ideas.

You got that right.

LOL...

You keep posting this silly notion that ONLY Trump will do it? Why? He is saying words...Cruz has a record on the Senate floor.

You have already seen that Trump supports Amnesty, so you trust him on the Fence?

Whichever candidate prominently promotes that idea will win.

And that simple thing indicates that few, including business, wants it to function. Which is the result of liberal business and economics teachers injection SJW issues into the market at the school level before business leaders ever become business leaders.

They become communists.

Yes, those jobs were stolen from Americans, I watched it.

I watched as we were pushed out of the car washes, landscaping, janitor work, maid work, concrete work, construction, roofing, sheet rock work, plants, machine shop, and on and on.

Millions of us wanted those jobs, and were pushed out, because when the Mexicans took over, they would drive out everyone else.

>> To use that as an example for today is meaningless. <<<

I dont disagree but it not completely meaningless. It speaks as a reminder that "cheap" labor is not so cheap in the long run. Immigration policy should be based on a free market economy's capacity to absorb labor, not politicians special interests.
There have always been freeloaders and lazy people. A welfare state and lawless federal government exacerbates their impact on society.

Do you think americans never did any of those jobs?

Do you think all those jobs were always done by Mexicans, legal or illegal?

Did history for you begin this morning when you woke up?
