It's been a long time, but I totally agree with #12, and those sensitivity sessions only got worse in government contracted aerospace.
Add to that the fact that I enjoyed the city, the history, and the environs of Charleston - and the fact that the citizens of Charleston showed the world what decent people can be and do - and it is sickening to see others step in and make a tragedy for a community into a political dog fight that demands winners and losers.

I recall at least 10 years ago a “sensitivity training” session where people were encouraged to whine to the group. I sat next to an Oriental (’scuse me, Asian) woman who complained about the fact that “everyone assumed because I’m Chinese (or Japanese, can’t remember) that I’m smart. Why would they assume that?”

I thought she must be off her rocker. It must be horrible going through life with people assuming really positive things about you before you even open your mouth. /sarc
