The following (below the line) is from 2 different sites I found...

BTW, Carlo Gambino, as well many of the most infamous mobsters of all time, lies buried within walking distance of where I live in Queens, New York: St John Cemetery. Same place where my grandparents are buried.

Frank Sinatra and the mob
If you read the book Double Crossit alleges that that Frank Sinatra had close ties to the mafia and this picture with some of the biggest Godfathers in history would go some way to backing those claims.

In this picture from left to right: Paul Castellano, Gregory DePalma, Sinatra, Tommy Marson, Carlo Gambino, Aladena Fratianno, Salvatore Spatola, Seated: Joseph Gambino, Richard Fusco.

Famous Mafia Pictures, Iconic Mafia Pictures, Paul Castellano, Carlo Gambino, Mafia, Mobsters, Cosa Nostra,

“Frank Sinatra and mobsters Tommy ‘Fatso’ Marson, Don Carlo Gambino ‘The Godfather’, and Jimmy ‘The Weasel’ Fratianno”

“Good grief - get a brain and some common sense.

Obviously, you’re out on that limb all alone in your “feelings” - kinda like some kooky leftist.”

There he goes again! Where did I say anything about “feelings”?

You are a riot!

Singers are supposed to “sing”. If they can’t “sing” then they are off of my list! Which part of that is it that you do not understand!

ROFL

I was right there with you listening to Friday with Frank out in DelCo. What a great station. Every evening, another jazz great, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, big bands. Even Sunday night, 10 to 2, with Gene Shay and Folklore. I can't for the life of me recall their call letters.

A rainy Sunday, a tall vodka tonic and Sinatra singing Antonio Carlos Jobim. Doesn’t get any better.
Incidentally speaking as Italian American lady, I love Frank and Dean equally. You can love two men at the same time.
Bennett (who changed his Italian name) is a raving left lunatic. A real sfachim.

lol. I guess you don’t like Tony. Didn’t know he was left wing. that sucks.
I used to watch the Dean Martin roasts with my pop when I was a kid. :)

Frank, Dean, Sammy singing and Johnny Carson as host.
Talent that you do not see today.
I have about 50 of Frank’s songs that I listen to.

Bless your heart, you’re still clinging bitterly to that limb out there & all alone, eh?

Clearly by now a normal individual with a modicum of brain matter would recognize the reality 99.9999% of posters on this thread reject your imbecilic assertion re: Sinatra.

Hope you can recover from those leftist feelings...now take your stupidity somewhere else.

Ciao...

That top photo looks faked — or the guy under Frank’s right arm has a white halo around his head.

I love it when lesser-intelligent people have to resort to insults instead of reading and comprehending! ;-)

Keep it coming!

99.9999%, huh? Now who is being a leftist and throwing useless statistics around that mean nothing?

I repeat, ‘singers’ are supposed to ‘sing’. If they can’t ‘sing’ and stay on-key then they are useless to me! ;-)

And need I remind you that Sinatra was sponsored and backed by the Mafia? Criminal through and through! And you want to talk about leftist? He was blow-buddies with the Kennedy clan! AND, he facilitated the election of Kennedy with his mob connections in Chicago! ;-)

Ciao? CIAO? Wow! I did not know that you speak Vietnamese!

Top and bottom photos are obviously the same. One is just a close-up.

You missed my point. Look at the hair of the guy on Frank’s right (cropped out of the close-up). Where is the white edge around his hair coming from?

“Don’t know if that one is true or not; but, he seemed to have mafia friends who made sure he found success.”

Worked that way for Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, and I’m sure a few others of that era.

I love Frank, but I ADORE Frankie. I absolutely cannot sit still or not sing if either are on. :)

I see what you mean. On high zoom the white edge around the side of his head actually extends in FRONT of Frank's arm. It's there on every copy of the pic I found. I have no idea what it is. Photographic artifact, reflection of some sort? Could possibly have been added in in order for his head and hair to stand out from the dark background. That would be my best guess.

Better singer, better actor, funny as hell and infinitely cooler. Dean was the King of Cool.

And a more convincing ladies man.
