CHICAGO (CBS) — Nine people were killed and at least 31 others—including a 4-year-old girl—have been wounded in shootings across Chicago this Memorial Day weekend, police said.
The 4-year-old, identified by her family as Jacele Johnson, was shot about 8 p.m. Friday in the West Englewood neighborhood.

And the Memorial Day weekend isn’t even over yet, time to cram a few more statistics into the tally.
Body counts matter. Keeps the troops keyed up between elections.
9 dead, 31 wounded. This skews the actual death rate. Not too many years ago, medical services for the wounded was not as advanced as it is today and back in the day......... many of the 31 wounded would not have made it.
It's a Waco shootout every weekend in Chicongo.
Tonight should be pretty quiet. They all have to get up early for work in the morning.
And just think what the numbers would be if it was a nice weekend, weatherwise?

I’d wager that few of those street rats actually have real jobs unless you count dealing drugs as a “real job”.
The only place with more violence this weekend was Ramadi.
When these very stupid people get tired of spending their Saturdays in funeral homes, maybe they’ll begin to get smart. Until then, hey guys do your thing.
