From the first sudden, and quite dramatic, appearance of the fanatical Islamic group known as ISIS which was largely unheard of until a year ago, on the world's stage and which promptly replaced the worn out and tired al Qaeda as the world's terrorist bogeyman, we suggested that the "straight to beheading YouTube clip" purpose behind the Saudi Arabia-funded Islamic State was a simple one: use the Jihadists as the vehicle of choice to achieve a political goal: depose of Syria's president Assad, who for years has stood in the way of a critical Qatari natural gas pipeline, one which could dethrone Russia as Europe's dominant - and belligerent - source of energy, reaching an interim climax with the unsuccessful Mediterranean Sea military build up of 2013, which nearly resulted in quasi-world war.

But it's one thing to speculate; it's something entirely different to have hard proof.
And while speculation was rife that just like the CIA-funded al Qaeda had been used as a facade by the US to achieve its own geopolitical and national interests over the past two decades, so ISIS was nothing more than al Qaeda 2.0, there was no actual evidence of just this.
That may all have changed now when a declassified secret US government document obtained by the public interest law firm, Judicial Watch, shows that Western governments deliberately allied with al-Qaeda and other Islamist extremist groups to topple Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad.

That was the part that bothered me as well. As another poster indicated, this is probably far deeper that it appears. Maybe this release allows those in the know to dismiss it more readily as it falls into the "tin foil" realm.
That would explain Obama’s lack of will to defeat them.
Whoever believes this is a goober. I took a look at the 7 page document that Zerohedge references, and there is nothing in there about the CIA allying with ISIS or depicting the rise of ISIS as strategic for the isolation of Syria. In fact, the document mentions the rise of AQI (a forerunner for ISIS) as being a “dire” consequence as the situation “deteriorates.”
If any of you Truther goobers want to look at the document and show how it supports anything Zerohedge is saying, please quote it out for me:

By the way, notice that Judicial Watch itself isn’t characterizing the document the way Zerohedge is.

There was a thread a few days ago about ISIS leadership being former Ba’ath party military officers.
The site is loose with facts. The headline is sloppy “analysis” of the quoted intel. The headline is deliberately misleading. I consider ZeroHedge highly questionable as a rule.
I only have to take off the rose colored glasses to see the world around me and realize that where there’s smoke, there’s fire. The pix with smiling John McCain and Isis leadership didn’t hurt either. Or Barry’s self admitted Muslim faith. Or his anti Israel policies. Or all the ROE that got our people killed. or the...

As it was the “Task Force” ran into some heavy weather and had to seek refuge in the Soylent. Which “officially” perturbed the Brits but greatly amused several RN SSN captains (and their crews) who put up some cases of very nice single malt scotches against which sub got the best “kill” pictures/videos through there parascopes.
Regardless, Obama is still responsibly; I don’t require CIA involvement
I don’t need super secret redacted invisible ink decoder ring documents to know that ISIS and Lyndsay Graham have the same goals.
But if they don’t hype it up, how can they continue to generate traffic? They live off of Antisemitic conspiracy theories!
While that may be true, it has nothing to do with the posted article, and amounts to nothing more than attack the messenger. Actually it isn’t even that, because what you are referring to comes in the comments, not in the articles. So it’s attacking the messenger’s commentators.
As previously stated, there’s nothing in the DIA documents that corroborates that ISIS is a CIA creation. Considering it is a declassified Secret document, it’s nothing earth shattering.
Even Judicial Watch doesn’t say the same that. Only ZH is fueling paranoid delusions that the evil people in Washington are behind everything.
