Imagine you are a guy who has a responsible job with a big company in Toronto. It is 2015. The biggest story in your city is the plight of female TV reporters who are being harassed on the street by male passersby shouting obscenities. The harassers are being named, shamed, vilified, and in one case promptly fired. Everyone agrees that this disgraceful behaviour should be thoroughly condemned.
Now imagine that you are attending an industry-awards ceremony. It features a young female doing a stand-up comedy routine. Do you laugh and clap appreciatively? Secretly think Jerry Seinfeld was funnier? Heckle her by saying, “There’s a 51-per-cent chance that my buddy here will have sex with you … and I will take the other 49 per cent”? And when people tell you to shut up, just keep on going?
Yes, my friends, one man actually chose Option 3. After the woman walked off the stage and told her story to The Globe and Mail, his career prospects are also looking rather grim.
By some interpretations, these incidents reveal that sexual harassment is a serious social problem that’s more pervasive than ever. There is, however, another interpretation.

Men behaving badly fits the stereotype the leftists love and use to bash men.
Everyone has flaws. I recognize that men can do dumb things and take senseless risks. But, if I were in a tight situation (of absolutely any kind at all), I would want to have men at my side rather than women, because women tend to choke at bad times. They panic and lose half their IQ points at just the wrong time. Men generally pull it together and get the job done.
But the media just loves to push the "men are so dumb" crap.

Men *are* different than women, which automatically means “inferior” according to a woman that believes her vagina has an intellect. A superior one at that.
I could rationally dissect this woman’s logic on multiple levels. But why bother? I have a penis. And, until that is removed, my brain just can’t function as it should.
Especially white, heterosexual, Christian men.
I wonder if she changes, or even reverses her arguments when the conversation is about females joining the military, and all the other risk taking work and occupations and arguments about equality, when the equality argument has to be about being tough and brave and risk taking?

The irony of her hair color, assuming the carpet matches the drapes, is astounding.
A corollary of that is that men like to take unnecessary risks far more than females. That is just a part of male nature.
But while, as Wente points out, many men do stupid things, many men also take risks that pay off for humanity. That humanity includes Margaret Wente who, if not for many males inventing stuff and taking huge risks to keep people like Wente free, would still be living in a mud hut somewhere and eating grubs to supplement her meager diet.
When the collapse comes their survivors, if there are any, won’t make a peep for fear of being eaten by the dogs.

So much you've been told about women is a lie. They aren't just like men, and you can't blurt out whatever you want. You have to treat them like a loaded gun with a hair trigger. There's no shorter distance than the distance between "I am woman, watch me roar!" to "He's picking on me!"
You know now it doesn't matter that her routine wasn't rated "G".
As for the 'comedian...' the measure of a professional comedian is how they handle hecklers. Brings to mind the movie " Pink Cadillac" where Bernadette Peters is sitting in a car. A flasher walks up, opens his coat, and proudly says, "What do you think?"
She glances for a second, then says, " It's like a pen!s...only smaller."
Instead, the comedian has become the joke.
"How many feminists does it take to change a light bulb?"
" THAT'S NOT FUNNY! "
Would like to point out that much of this type of behavior used to be suppressed by the pressure to be a gentleman.
Feminists and others spent decades destroying the power of that ideal. Now they don’t like the result.
