That was when Penske built those Badass Pushrod V-8’s. They test that engine while everybody was busy watching the Daytona 500 and the East Coast was in a blizzard.
I think that was Kevin Cohan.
He was pissed off
That's twice this season his team has lost the race for him by calling him in for tires.
What were they thinking?! Probably just a little bit too much; trying to be extra smart. That rarely works out well.
The race was Hamilton’s, no doubt about that. I’d also say that he handled the aftermath as well as could be expected from anyone. No more ‘is it because I’m black?’ silliness.
For fairness’s sake, let’s hope he doesn’t end up losing the championship by just these points.
But stuff happens and it’s a TEAM sport (please none of that ‘let’s put them all in identical cars’ nonsense from those comments quoted above). ‘Stuff’ is also likely to hit Rosberg and others down the road.
In any case, a $150 mill contract in the pocket should be somewhat of an ointment for someone with no real marketable skills in the real world, to keep things in perspective. Hey, for that dough I’d go out there and lose each and every race :-). Please PM me with offers.
Well, I didn't see anything after he came up to the spot where they had the cars for 1, 2, and 3, and he hit the sign and didn't want to get out. I liked him prior to this, a bit of an attitude, but a damned good driver. But for me, after watching him stop on the track after the race was over, hit the #3 sign as he came to a stop, and act like a spoiled brat, at least what I could see until they cut over to soccer, I'm a little less concerned about him having lost. I didn't see him on the podium, but reports I've read said he acted like a petulant child. Definitely not world-class in my book, even with his driving ability.
