Top economist: Americans have 'contempt for liberty' [Proverbs 30]

Famed economist and columnist Walter Williams says America has embraced the government thievery of personal property to benefit others, and he says the politicians are only doing what the voters want them to do.

Williams is a distinguished professor of economics at George Mason University. He is a syndicated columnist and has substituted for talk-show host Rush Limbaugh. His new book, a collection of his conservative-to-libertarian columns, is titled “American Contempt for Liberty.”

The title may sound a bit harsh, but Williams insists that’s exactly what’s happening in this country.

“The average American thinks that it is indeed moral for the Congress to forcibly use one American to serve the purposes of another American,” Williams told WND and Radio America. “It will forcefully use one American to serve the purposes of farmers in term of farm subsidies or bank bailouts or welfare or food stamps...”

Proverbs 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up . 14 There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. 15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give , give . There are three things that are never satisfied , yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.

The Hebrew Prophets wrote of a future generation that would cast off all restraint, ignore the wisdom of their parents and the previous generations, be clean in their own eyes, and persecute those who need God. It appears that that day is upon us, not by some outside force, but from within.

The openly Marxist public school system factory has churned a generation that cannot get enough of the benefits socialism. Government is now the solution, not the problem. At the heart of this movement is a liberation theology free from the oppression of God, morals, ethics, personal responsibility, and freedom. State is now god in the eyes of this young generation. This new generation is casting off all the baggage of America's last 240 years and boldly going where others, like Russia and Argentina have gone before. But where will it lead? What does the Bible say the outcome will be?

1. The grave (death)
2. The barren womb (childlessness)
3. Drought (physical and spiritual)
4. Fire (Hell for those who follow this generation)

We must comprise ourselves a remnant. The majority is lost. Statism, abortion, homosexuality and pornography are the fundamental concerns of a preponderance of Americans. We must divorce ourselves from them and focus on strengthening our convictions and beliefs. We are at war with satan. Compromise will only yield failure. The enemy surrounds us. Hold the center at all cost.

I’ve often wondered about Isaiah 3:12, “As for my people, children are their oppressors and women will rule over them......”

“Children are their oppressors” also means we are ruled by children, like the Obama administration and the character of people in govt.

Also, Isaiah 1:3, “Even an ox has knowledge of its owner and the ass its master’s crib, but Israel does not know.”
