Senior US senator's report of seeing 'TWO UFOs' was 'covered up' secret documents show

Formerly confidential files obtained by alien researchers detail the account given by senior senator Richard B Russell and two aides of seeing the "flying saucers" TAKE OFF.

At the time, Sen. Russell was on a Soviet-era train during a fact-finding mission to Russia, nearly 60 years ago.

Sen. Russell, was former chairman of the Armed Services Committee and one of America's most influential senators until he died in 1971 after serving for 38 years.

Documents obtained by the Fund for UFO Research (FUFOR) said Sen. Russell was travelling with his two aides in the Transcaucasus region on October 4, 1955 at about 7 pm, when the incident occurred.

He is said to have looked out of the window and spotted two disc-shaped UFOs 'taking off' from a spot near the railway tracks.

According to reports, the documents state how Sen. Russell hurriedly called over aide Lt Col Hathaway and interpreter Ruben Efron to the window, with them both seeing the two crafts 'take off'.

He and the aides reported the sighting to US Air Force and security agencies once at the US embassy in Prague, in then Czechoslovakia, but the account was kept strictly confidential.

Lt Col Thomas Ryan, air attaché at the embassy, filed a top secret Air Force intelligence report on the trio's sighting on October 14, 1955 after meeting them.

He wrote the report was "based on an eyewitness account of the ascent and flight of an unconventional craft by three highly reliable United States observers.”

The document said Lt Col Hathaway told Lt Col Ryan: “I doubt if you are going to believe this, but we all saw it. Senator Russell was the first to see this flying disc we’ve been told for years that there isn’t such a thing, but all of us saw it.

People who report seeing UFOs are saner and more credible than those who believe in gay marriage.

"Richard B. Russell Jr. served in public office for fifty years as a state legislator, governor of Georgia, and U.S. senator. Although Russell was best known for his efforts to strengthen the national defense and to oppose civil rights legislation, he favored his role as advocate for the small farmer and for soil and water conservation. Russell also worked to bring economic opportunities to Georgia. He helped to secure or maintain fifteen military installations; more than twenty-five research facilities, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Russell Agricultural Research Center; and federal funding for development and construction. Russell believed that his most important legislative contribution was his authorship and secured passage of the National School Lunch Program in 1946."

I believe I saw a gay UFO once. I suppose it could have been transgendered. But it did put on a fabulous light display...

Two silver paint coated helium filled inflatables released from the ground from behind a nearby hill would look like aliens to someone.
Russians playing mind games IMO.

Senior US senator's report of seeing 'TWO UFOs' was 'covered up'......THREE 'highly reliable' US government officials reported seeing TWO UFOs

Since when is a publicly elected U.S. Senator automatically considered "reliable?" If this report of flying saucer kookery was about Carol Moseley Braun I'd yawn and go back to bed.

In 55 that would have been easy to pull off and convince someone watching them just go up.
Fill it with a lot of helium and it could rise fast.

This was Richard B Russell who spent sixteen years as the chairman of the Armed Services Committee.

I don’t now. Maybe. The way I look at it is I don’t think some Russkie’ told another during that time “hey, comrade, let’s place some helium balloons here and mess with those American devils and let’s make sure they face in this direction”.

Consider the Russians also have a drinking problem and this makes the most logical explanation.

That should be it LOL. Like my Russkie neighbor told me, who needs pot when real men drink Stoli.

I generally don’t comment on these posts - simply because you can’t get into this discussion without all the usual crap about drugs, drunkenness or psychosis.

I’ve never seen a “disc” but have witnessed a couple things that left me guessing - only one that I am convinced was some sort of intelligently controlled vehicle. I hope it was one of ours.

It’s always a balloon eh?

Sure, I bought a balloon at a Grateful Dead concert
once, it made me see things too.
