FULL TITLE: Shocking video shows American schoolkids running in terror as teacher whips 'unruly' children with his belt

A group of four boys fighting in their classroom were brutally halted when their teacher took off his belt and started hitting them with it.

In shocking cell phone video posted to Live leak on Friday, likely recorded in an American classroom, children can be heard shrieking as the unidentified teacher whips them about three times with his belt.

Chairs and tables are overturned, what appear to be middle-school aged boys and girls scream in fear and let out nervous laughter as they scatter and run to either side of the room.

I don’t think a belt is needed, but the parents should be held responsible for children brawling in school.
Instead make the kids and parents pay a couple of thousand out of their pockets for parenting classes.

PS: When I grew up in the days of the dinosaurs the parents would occasionally use a belt or a shoe if we were bad.
We survived; we came to school ready to be students and no fighting ever happened in a classroom.

You have four boys in a pile up on the floor. Since they appear to be black, I’m guessing it’s more likely to be a 3-on-1 assault. Whacking with the belt breaks up the fight without doing serious damage to anybody.

You're thinking like a White man. These kids most likely don't have parents.

Yep - when I was in HS in the late '60s, a Gym coach knocked a guy against the lockers and told him j=if he wanted to fight, then have at it. A Math teacher (Viet Nam vet, but only 5'5" and 140 lbs) took down one of the local hoods who spit on his shoe when he was walking up and down the aisles between the desks - told him he risked his life for his country against far more dangerous men than the hood and he would be damned if he allowed a useless piece of scum to spit on him.

A few folks raised a ruckus but there was still a bit of common sense left and neither of the teachers suffered negative consequences from the encounters - they earned the admiration and respect of a bunch of us...... they were doing the jobs that some parents were unwilling to do.

Same with my Dad and teachers. Dad had the belt and teachers had the stick. I’m guess the teacher is not a teacher’s union member.

Shocking that a teacher dares get control of their classroom.

I don't think a belt is needed...

In situations such as this the teacher is in a tough position. The situation I was in, teachers are supposed to call the office to get security. If the office doesn't answer, there are less good options. The teacher is not supposed to get involved.

But you know what? If there's a situation where students who aren't able to defend themselves are being attacked, it's dangerous (chairs and books being thrown around etc), and there's no way to get help, the teacher's the only authority figure. Any teacher worth their salt will risk their career and do what it takes to stop injury of those not involved.

I don't know if that's the case in this situation, but it happens. If the belt is the only thing the thugs understand, I applaud the teacher. And hope he finds another career.

I see appropriate application of said belt on those students. It broke the fight up and got their attention real fast.

I’m calling “Good whipping!”

I fail to see the problem with what this teacher did. Those kids were behaving like little punks.
