"troubled by this shift in how police are being trained to view Americans"

Some people's troubles are other's designed accomplishments.

I submit that there be a jury duty pool begun for each class of police training academy. A citizen group which attends all the classes and training in order to report fairly on what is getting into the heads of todays cops.

Change begins with knowing what's feeding the root.

When one group of {people, animals, bugs} have different authority and also different rules for conduct than others, corruption almost invariably follows.

You bet! My previous argument was not that these rules are good, but just that they are internal rules, nothing more. And as such, they can be turned on or off at contract time. To call them a "Bill of Rights" is to add unnecessary drama to the situation. A minor point, I know.

In the ideal, we could vote with our feet as well as on election day. We vote to live in a community that has a reputation for tough police, or vote for a town with a reputation for laid-back police.

Most of us live in a Metro area where we could choose between dozens of communities, each with its own combination of schools, police and other institutions.

Unfortunately, most towns are now dependent on the cocaine peddled by outsiders. If the town tried to a referendum to raise taxes for pay for that new shiny object the voters would vote down the referendum. So the town elders go for the free cocaine. But then they have to do the bidding of the cocaine dealers.

We now avoid the police at all cost. I would not call the cops to come to our house unless we had to shoot an intruder. Other than that no way.

There is no situation that can not be made worse by calling the Cops.

Hence the Left’s push for Federalizing the police forces....

Snips of video like that are disturbing, but without background or context, we may jump to conclusions. Was that individual on the ground reaching for a firearm near him but out of camera angle? Was the female brutally knocked down a murderess leaving the scene? Or were they both instances of cops behaving badly?

And of course, if the individuals kicked in the head and slammed to the floor were Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, I’d be cheering the cops!

We live in a police state? Really? The police need support, not idiotic diatribes. Or do you just want to do away with all law enforcement? Good luck with that.

Was the mime following police orders? Looks to me like he was being a wise guy, taunting the officer.

Bingo! Another clip most likely taken out of context as if the “victim” was a pure, innocent bystander. Kind of like Michael Brown.

Now I am torn on that one.

Clowns are evil and mimes are super clowns which means that they are super evil.

Perhaps we could make an exception in this case.

If someone is taunting me do I have the right to hit them with a stick?

One does not. Should one attempt to defend themselves, they will shortly have more holes in them that a piece of Swiss cheese. Plus 40or 50 police dogs trying to tear their guts out. It is best to take your beatdown like a man and then go from there.
