Angelika Graswald, a New York woman accused of killing her fiance and falsely reporting he died in a kayaking accident, says she is wrongfully accused of murder based on outdated entries in her diary.
In an interview with News 12 Westchester from behind bars, the 35-year-old Graswald said authorities arrested her after reading entries in her diary in which she wrote there were times she wished her fiance, Vincent Viafore, dead because he pushed her for rough sex and wanted her to engage in threesomes.
Graswald told the station the diary entries were written during tough times and stressed she was very much in love with Viafore and would never have hurt him

Who says he was with the kayak she she might have dumped it into the river?
So YOU’RE the b_sturd that made my life miserable ... ;)
Just commenting on what was in the article, that they’ve accused her of tampering with the kayak so he would drown.
lol!!! if i could find those poor guys whose machines i broke or robbed i would apologize.
And if it was Texas, i would probably be dead!!
Ahh.
There might be ways to tamper with kayaks that prevent it from being made upright when the kayaker goes into a roll.
Maybe she wanted him fed?
(it’s a cookbook...)
There has to be more to this story. Based on the information in the article, I’m surprised she was charged.
Well, she doesn’t have to worry much about a threesome anymore.
Mebbe she’s innocent - he coulda patched his kayak with some of that infomercial spray-on adhesive that they demonstrate on TV by cutting a big hole in the bottom of a boat, then patching it with a window screen gooped with this black tar crap. (Always read the instructions before use).
>> [breaking up] just seemed simpler and less messy than murder.
That’s SO seventies. Move into Century 21.
>> who is the intended audience for diaries?
The agent at Simon & Schuster?
I guess just breaking up would have been too hard.
Maybe he saw all the news about her after his kayak mishap and decided “ missing presumed dead” was a better status for himself. Btw I saw that commercial. Could probably use it on a submarine screen door.
Vending machines? in New Jersey?
The mob is still looking for you.
It gets worse. I sold my vending machine route to guys who said they were gangsters and then robbed the route i sold for about six months. Spent the pocket money at bars and other places :) How i didn’t get killed is something i will ask God when i die. However, i suspect they were not as connected as they made it sound. Usually, you are quiet about that kind of thing.
It was 22 yeas ago so I’m safe, i think :) And that is just one story. I’ll save the others for the future :) And now my life is SO BORING. what happened lol Oh yeah, I got good with God. worth it.
“There might be ways to tamper with kayaks that prevent it from being made upright when the kayaker goes into a roll.”
Lead weights hot glued under the top?
Yep. Just breaking up leaves so many messy ends. You run into them at the grocery store, they show up at your cousin’s wedding and spill your most embarrassing secrets to your mother and sometimes date your best friend.
Her way just seems so much “cleaner”.
Spent 10 years chasing vending machines. Fished units out of swimming pools after a raucous party by rodeo winners, and helped cops bust a theft ring using stolen keys.
Overall, not a bad way to make an all cash living but the landscape changed. Glad I made the jump to IT.
