Today's feature stars conservative Republican superstar James Stewart in a western about bringing a Hereford bull to Texas in order to produce better cattle. Trivia sidenote: the film reunited "The Parent Trap"'s dad(Brian Keith) and mom(Maureen O'Hara) with the sister(Juliet Mills) of the actress(Hayley Mills) who played their twin daughters in the 1961 Disney classic. A good, solid family western.

Andrew V. McLaglen just died back in August. Maureen O’hara is still alive.

In the scene where the wagon flips over trapping the women underneath was not supposed to happen. The wagon wheel did hit something causing the wagon to flip, and it flipped right over a concealed hole dug for a later camera shot. If the hole had not been there, both stunt women might have been killed.

He’s very different here than in “The Parent Trap.”

He was pretty good in “Return to Snowy River” too, filling the role played by Kirk Douglas in the first flick, “The Man from Snowy River”.
