EVANS, Ga. (WRDW) -- A Evans woman is facing charges after the Columbia County Sheriff's Office says her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor reported her for having a party that involved alcohol, drugs, sex, and minors.

Rachel Lehnardt, 35, was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The incident report says the A.A. sponsor reported that Lehnardt allowed her 16-year old daughter and friends to come to her house "to party". The report says the minors were allowed to drink and smoke marijuana in her home.

The sponsor says the Lehnardt told her that she had sex with her daughter's 16-year old boyfriend and with an 18-year old. She says she played naked twister with the minors and shared pornography of herself with her 16-year old daughter.

At the time, Lehnardt says her other children ages 4, 6, 8, and 10 were with their father.

Lehnardt posted $3,200 bond to be released from the Columbia County Detention Center.

Hmmmmm....I’ve seen that look before. Guilty in the courts eyes.

But I’d have to vote Not Guilty. Maybe a week under house arrest. My house.

I don’t have much hope for her 16 yr old daughter. She will probably be dancing at a strip club by the time she is 18. Sad, I hope the father is a better role model.

If you don’t actually do the steps you can get through them pretty quickly.

Mostly “not guilty” for a 35 year old. But look in those eyes, and you know she’s the kind who will stick a knife in you if you cross her.

That is totally disgusting.

Actually, I think she'd be able to get cleaned up fairly well.

Plus her left upper lip is larger than her right. No thanks.

Sponsor screwed up big.

Unless it was murder, or a plan of murder, or a plan to suicide, you don't do this.

AA is called Alcoholics ANONYMOUS for a reason. Now this lady will NEVER be able to trust AA, once out of jail.

The deed was already done, so the sponsor cannot claim to have been trying to prevent harm even! The sponsor's role is to get this person back on track with God, not with Columbia County.

They say in the Big Book that a sponsor is not a financial advisor, marriage counselor, or physician. I would add, policeman.

Hmmm let me take a look, southern, blonde, mid 30’s, though she is a bad mother, still irrelevant, I probably would still tap that.

Tthe courts have proven that there is no expectation of privacy in AA unfortunately. You can be compelled to testify in a court of law and you could be charged with harboring information on a criminal act if you fail to report information to the proper authorities. Sharing in a ‘general way’ is advised on all levels IMO as a sponsor and as to what a sponsee shares. Lawyers and clergy are the only protected class when it comes to safeguarding secrets. The sponsor in this case could have advised that the person turn themselves in, after all how could they complete the 12 steps w/o properly cleaning house? Barring that she (I assume it was a woman sponsor) had every right to feel compelled to turn that person in by the nature of the crime - all my opinion of course.
