I take all the soap, or hygiene products home along with the coffee stuff. They go into the church donation basket for the homeless.
I’m picky about my products due to allergies.
Why waste them when you can at least donate what you already paid for in the price of the room? Ditto goes if I go to the hospital. Boxes of Ensure Clear end up in that donation basket. Stuff is NASTY.

“No problem. Im always looking for tips and tricks to help with personal hygiene.”
That’s one those “life hacks” we keep hearing about.

What about corn cobs?
Two red cobs to do the job. One white cob to check.

I like the gel squirt containers in the showers. This solves the problem of leftover soap too.

“I always take the bars home... it never occurred to me to leave them behind to be thrown away.”
You take your used soap bars home?

You can turn that in at the desk for prizes.

"Soap, by definition, cleans itself."My father used to yell at me for not washing the soap when I was done with it.
To: Daffynition
On the one hand, I'm against waste, so on the surface I suppose it's a nice idea.
But, I wonder how much is actually saved when you factor in the labor to collect the soap and get it ready, the machinery to shred and disinfect from previous users, the repackaging and prep for shipping...
I wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper to just buy hotel soaps and send them to impoverished people.
To: Daffynition
I save all my almost-used-up soap bars. It’s part of my SHTF supplies.

*Back in the day* thrifty housewives used a nifty contraption like this to swish around in the sink to use up the soap chips. I suspect it was to use up lye soap. Making soap was a time consuming chore, so I can see why they wouldn't want to waste a single bit.

You make a lot of sense.
The same holds true for having to wash out recyclables....I always wonder how much water we waste doing that.
