There’s a war on, and the citizens are getting uppity.
No sense in being disrespectful like that to a police officer. If an officer is off the rails, you get them later. You don’t give them reason to become enraged.
Once I had an out of control officer yelling at me for doing something stupid on the road. The whole time he was yelling, I kept repeating “You are right. I did the wrong thing. I’m sorry.” Over and over again and then he actually heard what I was saying, backed up and left me alone.

Good story, and you probably did the right thing.
However, when the officer is a f#%$!ing idiot, and nearly kills you, all bets are off.
The motorcycle guy has reason to be proud of what he said to the cop.
We need more like him.

That cop had a military persona going on. “Battle buddies”,, etc.. he was speaking like he was an infantry officer to an afghan villager.
