I think I’d pay the price...It’s been a long time since I’ve had a great pastrami sandwich and it would be worth it - at least once....

Better than $9 per lb for deli sliced corned beef.

It only takes a spark — to get inflation going.
They’re going to “pass it on.”

I love pastrami but I can do without it.
I just had one of the best steaks I ever ate. It was a rib eye on sale at the local market. This particular market gets their meat from Mexico and the quality is all over the place.
Of maybe a dozen packs, most looked really tough with little fat and no marbling. Then I noticed a 3 pack which looked great. Probably would have graded out as prime. $5.67 a pound so I got it.
Sure enough, both tender and tasty. I still have two left.

I've always wanted to have a pastrami sandwich at a classic NYC deli.My hunch is that those delis that remain are located in Brooklyn rather than Manhattan.
Maybe someday.....

A hot pastrami sandwich on an old fashioned bulkie roll is the nearest thing to heaven that I know.

Porterhouse is my favorite steak but I will never order from Omaha Steaks again. My daughter has sent me a gift card for Christmas the last few years.
I always thought they were overpriced but the meat was decent. This year I tried to get a replacement and they flat out refused to do anything. They had a good reputation but I did some checking and that is a thing of the past.
Total jerks to deal with.

Omaha is usually pretty good but we had some of their steaks today and they were a little disappointing.

We complained about a few products and they gave us credited us. We also mentioned the items that we liked.

I need to get off this thread. That sandwich and pickle! All the talk about meat is making me hungry.
