WASHINGTON — When White House chief pastry chef Bill Yosses left the executive mansion last summer, the president publicly mourned the loss of “the crust master’s” mysteriously addictive pies. And when the first family’s personal chef and pal, Sam Kass, left in December, Michelle Obama heaped praise on Kass’ “extraordinary legacy of progress” in an official White House statement.
But the recent exit of head florist Laura Dowling, who’d been in the job since 2009, has been a much quieter affair. So hush-hush, in fact, that most outside of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. knew nothing about it. There’s still no official comment on why Dowling is no longer at the White House, but according to a source with close ties to current residence staffers, she was escorted from the building on Feb. 13.
The East Wing initially confirmed via a very brief email that “Laura left her position earlier this year” but provided no further details. Later, the first lady’s office (not quoting the first lady specifically, mind you) sent this enhanced statement:
“As Chief Florist, Laura Dowling and her team treated guests of the White House to their beautiful floral arrangements. Ms. Dowling’s creations were always lively and colorful, reflecting not only the season but the unique and historic rooms which they graced. No two arrangements were ever the same and each one left guests with a lasting impression of the elegance and history of the People’s House. We are grateful for her contribution over the years and wish her well”

I’m sure VJ was the one behind this, she just had mooch execute it. Hope the florist was bugging the arrangements liberally, especially VJ’s, and you know she cost at least $200/day in flowers in her own quarters.
All imperial households require a florist or two.
How ridiculous to use that style of artwork in that very traditional room. Well, we can see by the Wookie’s wardrobe choices what she knows about design and style.
they should outsource all the cooking in the white house to the local high school cafeteria. that way we could save some money and the Obamas family can no how good there school lunch program are.

THIS is the culture of the White House. The French revolution looks more and more relevant every single day. Does anyone have ANY idea how much money that nutty event wasted without so much as a thought?
That place needs to be vacated and turned into a museum. Then move the president into a decent apartment.

I also believe they appease her by these trips they send her on. She's a 24 hour powder keg that was shut down ASAP as soon as Obama won, where she thought she was going to do all the changing of our country and found out she was not going to get that authority..not even a smidgen.
So she's been trying to find a place for herself ever since entering the White House....and nothing satisfies her. She was an outspoken woman when they were on the campaign trail and then was shut down...for obvious reasons.
Who's looking down on who as he campaigned??? No question she was in control
When they didn't let her speak she showed her muscle anyway that she was tough and still had the hood in her
She ran her mouth day in and day out
And then they put a muzzle on her and kept it there after he won
So they created events to otherwise occupy her and to vent the steam roller from speaking out and screwing up Obama
giving her insignificant things inside to occupy her time
