I once won my office pickem pool. I didnt follow college basketball, but I did recognize the names of the teams, from sports radio. I paid $10 to join, took a look at the brackets, picked mostly high seeded teams, but threw in a few long shots, because I had heard their names before and thought they sounded cool.Those two teams both won in huge upsets in the first round, and one made it to the sweet 16. I made a few hundred dollars that year, and never entered the office pool again.
