That’s certainly a possibility.

She’s a progressive, control freak type lib. who wants to maintain total control of her little utopia. It’s easy to see.

Indicators?

Sorry, I don't see the actress modeling a personality off of the most prominent contemporary female politician as indicative of what the writers have in mind.

I had forgotten that, but you’re right about that. They still might keep it ambiguous for the TV show, though. They do like to keep us guessing!

Either you haven’t been watching or you can’t read people.:)

As I said before, on a Walking Dead blog site, they said she is modeling her character on Hillary Clinton.

Big deal! Dustin Hoffman modeled his Captain Hook after William F. Buckley. Are we to conclude James Hook was a devout Catholic?

Either you haven’t been watching or you can’t read people.:)

Thank God you put in the smiley! At first blush I thought you'd gone off the deep end.

Seriously though, none of the residents seem to be bitching. Yeah, from the viewers perspective they seem like a bunch of Eloi, but it's not like they have secret police roaming around, or reeducation classes for the newbs.

I think the writers have been real good at painting a picture much like the Maqui from Star Trek...everything they've done that you may not like has a compelling explanation (even if you disagree) if you'll listen to them.

I see what you’re saying. And you see what I’m saying. Glad we can agree to disagree.

See you next week and we’ll enjoy that one, too.

Now I got nuthin to watch for another 23 and a half hours when Better Call Saul comes on.

I just watched most of the second half of tonight’s episode. Man, what I saw was intense. I thought the bald guy was going to kill those cops in the bar.

I never got into Breaking Bad but from what I saw, this is better.

I was resistant to BB-didn’t like the idea of glorifying meth-but I tried watching it because so many FR people were raving about it.

I was so hooked I watched the ENTIRE series in a couple of weekes online

I am just loving Better Call Saul

Bob Odenkirk’s facial expressions are just exquisite!

I saw him in that Fargo series and BB but never really appreciated his mad skills until BCS

He really nails it

Mike’s a real hoot too.

In the comics, his girl is Andrea. She’s also the resident sniper, so maybe Sasha will fill that role since Andrea’s dead. Of course, I don’t remember Rick having had much interaction with Sasha to date.

It might be kind of meh for a bit if you like lots of action but I thought it was great.

I bet you’ll like it

Yep. That’s been pointed out before, somewhere....It’s built more like to keep someone in, rather than “out”.

Something is definitely not right in Alexandria.

We’ll have to disagree. :)

At the beginning of the season, Rick, Daryl, and Glenn were bent over a trough, about to have their throats slashed like livestock. That’s just one thing they’ve experienced.

Then there was Carol having to execute a child, Rick ripping out a man’s throat with his teeth after almost seeing his son raped, and on and on.

I don’t doubt the Alexandrians have lost people and suffered, but I don’t believe there is any comparison. They don’t know what the world outside those walls has become.

I think they’re going to find out.

Deanna can throw a glass of wine and flash a peace sign at some Walkers when they get to her.

BTW. Sasha seems to have changed her scope.

It could be a different rifle procured from the town's armory...........

The best analogy I can think of is the conceit of a person for those who don't lock their doors at night when the simple fact is, given their geographic region, they really don't need to.

That's a good assessment......Deanna is in denial of what the outside world really is and is trying her best to maintain a civilized utopia at the expense of the safety of the neighborhood...........

I suspect that by the end of the season the walls will be torn down and the town is going to be over run by walkers and all hell will break out........

Have you heard a single complaint from them about the principles of freedom?

You think politics is foremost on their minds right now? I don't.....

HA!

That husband of hers....sheesh, good luck getting any help from him. He reminded me of one of the old hippy professors I see wandering around Barnes & Noble.

And that son of hers is probably dead meat, biscuits or no biscuits.

Isn’t the fence reinforced on the wrong side? I would think those bars would be on the inside.

I posted my opinion earlier but I'll do it again.

Alexandria is an actual neighborhood with the exception of 4 houses that were built by the production company in order to film certain scenes.

The exterior "wall" was built on the back of the properties of the homeowners in that community with the buttresses on the outside. Had they logically buttressed the walls from the inside, the pillars would have had to been anchored in the middle of the back yards of the citizens they were trying most to not inconvenience.........

As a side note, all filming from the street had to be halted whenever the citizens were leaving or returning in their vehicles..............CAR!
