A 5-year-old boy was “screaming his lungs out” Sunday as he came “flying out of the door” of an SUV during a botched theft of a flat-screen TV from a Falmouth Wal-Mart by his mom and her boyfriend, according to police reports released yesterday.
Eyewitnesses said they ran to help as the crying boy fell “out of the car onto the ground” and then got up and started to chase the SUV.

Can’t wait for those frothing at the mouth to start slamming child services as if this wasn’t a clear case of child endangerment.

Several decades ago my wife was driving our second-grade daughter to school. She was sleepy and slumped against the passenger door.
As the wife made a turn onto Main Street, the door flew open and suddenly my daughter was wide awake and sitting on her butt in the middle of Main.
Nobody hurt, but could have been.
Sooooo.... parents that let their kids walk alone are neglectful; but, letting your kid fly out of the back seat of a get away car while you try to abscond with a stolen flat screen is....what?
That happened to my younger brother back in the 50s.
But that was an era before cars had restraint systems.
You still do, unless you bunch up with a family member.

My brother was driving his 56 Ford down the street and found himself sitting in the middle of an intersection after making a turn, as his car was continuing down the road.

Yeah, that flat screen TV just “happened” to jump into the SUV. Don’t you absolutely hate it when stuff like that “happens”?

Then I bet they will go after them on child endangerment charges as well as theft.
No wonder the kid fell out of the car. It's not easy fitting a 58 inch television across the back seat of anything. They probably couldn't get the car doors closed!
