Update on my cat, Valentine, she had surgery Wednesday, and has been sleeping quite a bit since. She has a good chance for surviving a few more years. Other than the tumor, the vet was impressed with her overall health. And the this vet brought the cost in to about half of what the first vet wanted.
She lives!

Beware the "False Front" of seasonal thaw
Winter is not over until mid-April
I like Bastardi because he tells it like it is,.. and sometimes he stands alone
while other forecasters tell of the NOAA/FEDGovt. "Glow-BULL Warming" hocus-pocus ,
like they did last year when there was the gas/ propane shortage in the mid-West for home heating fuels.
Most people forget that NOAA was calling for a mild winter in early November, while the EPA wanted to destroy coal-fired electrical generation plants .
The EPA is now on the offensive in 2015 for wood heat, wood burning stoves, and backyard furnaces
where wood heat is the primary heat source in the NorthEast, based on availablility and economy.
Beware the "False Front" of an early Spring because the month of March can be deceptive and a killing frost is still possible.
