Nickelodeon announces Entitlement Sponsorship of SpongeBob SquarePants 400: Nickelodeon announced that it is the entitlement sponsor of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday, May 9 at Kansas Speedway dubbed the SpongeBob SquarePants 400. The SpongeBob SquarePants 400, which will be broadcasted on 7:30pm/et on FOX Sports 1, will feature a weekend of Bikini Bottom-themed activities and fun for the entire family.
Also at the speedway, attendees will be able to enjoy some pre-Mother's Day fun in the Nickelodeon Kids Zone, which will be located in the Kansas Speedway Fan Zone. Yet another nail in the coffin of what was once a great racing series....ruined by the current idiots in charge who were more interested in making every dollar they possibly could than maintaining the integrity and identity of the sport.

I long for the days when each track was unique....Darlington, Rockingham, North Wilkesboro...the cars were actually Fords, chevys, and mopars....which are now practically all the same like the boring ass 1.5 mile tri-ovals race after race.

Used to be when one traveled the interstates of America each region had a unique identity....now like NASCAR....pretty much no matter where you are every exit has the same big national chain restaurants selling the same crap.

I wish someone would actually bring back real stock car racing...cars that are bought off the showroom floor and the only things allowed to be modified would be rollcages and fuel cells. Running rain or shine.

That would make this descendant of North Georgia moonshiners very happy.
