I guess all those rich crying blacks at the Oscars last night didn’t want to be shown up.

Translation:

direct dialogue = extortion
asking for more inclusiveness = extortion
addressing that disconnect = extortion

THIS JUST IN When she made disparaging remarks about Obama, Sony's Amy Pascal ended up apologizing to Al Sharpton. Al called an emergency meeting to act on Hollyweird's racism (Stepan Fetchit was seanced from beyond the grave).

Now Amy's out as Sony VP---and she's got a new Sony gig.....but her new gig probably doesn’t include a hefty budget line for Al shakedowns.

So....the Brian Williams fiasco looks tailor-made for Sharpton’s greedy clutches. If Brian goes, Al's primed to jump in.....he's got a low-rated show at MSNBC, he’s a convicted liar, he doesn’t pay his taxes and he has President Obama’s ear.

He’s perfect for the Peacock network (so says Michael Goodwin, NY POST sage).

===========================================================

THE AL MO: he “earns" money through calling other people racist.

‘We cannot be silent while African-Americans spend hard-earned dollars with a company that does not hire, promote or do business with us in a statistically significant manner.’ - Sharpton's 2003 e-mail to Honda.

Sharpton raised $1 million for NAN at his 60th birthday bash in October, with donations rolling in from unions and a corporate roster of contributors including AT&T, McDonald’s, Verizon and Walmart.

Companies have gotten in line to pay Sharpton. Macy’s and Pfizer forked over thousands to NAN, as have General Motors, American Honda and Chrysler.

===============================================

I sincerely hope "payments" to Al were properly disclosed to shareholders of publicy-traded companies.
