The only one I have actually seen is “The Grand Budapest Hotel” I was never sure what it was about, but it kept my interest as a movie that was not your standard hollyweird product.

I had never heard of most of these movies until they were nominated for Oscars. I just don’t keep up with movies or pop culture much anymore. So not watching.

I’m interested to see if Al Sharpton blows a gasket if Selma doesn’t win best picture, however. All this talk of racism in Hollywood and all that, makes me interested in his reaction if Selma doesn’t win.

...rooting for an American Sniper sweep!

Likewise here, not far from Chris Kyle's hometown in North Texas!

That said, I also hope that Selma does well tonight. I saw it about a week ago -- and in spite of having Oprah Winfrey's involvement -- it's a very good movie and quite accurate having been in my 20s during the early 1960s and recalling the unforgettable era well to this day.

Saw American Sniper. Had wondered how our military took Fallujeh, it was fascinating to see how that was accomplished.

It really is worth seeing and depicts the era well. Be prepared for the loud bomb blast just a few minutes in. I knew it was coming but it still shocked me.
