Jennifer Jones daughter was walking the family dog before school in suburban Atlanta on Thursday morning when a strange man allegedly got out of a white pickup truck and grabbed the little girls wrist. Thats when, police say, the tiny rat terrier mix sprang into action.

You’d never see a cat do that.
my rat dawg goes face to face with neighbor oversized pits but through the fence. they are terrier terrors.
Looks like another one of Obama’s sons, just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
In the crotch.
Pit bulls don’t really make great personal protection dogs unless trained.
They’re too people oriented.
Seriously.
There have been exceptions where a Pit scared off an attacker, mostly just by “looking like a Pit Bull”.
It’s frickin’ gallery quality.
I applaud the artist.
Aspiring rapper.
Needed a dancer for his first video.
“pit bulls don’t really make great personal protection dogs”
Truer words were never said. (or written, lol)
At one time I had 2 dogs..a pit and wolf hybrid as part of my (6) pack. They both looked the part but any protecting that came during that time came from the cocker. And a shepherd/hound mix. He was an excellent protector. The pit and wolf...not so much. In fact not at all.
Every single time I’ve gone to a stranger’s home with a Pit in residence, I was greeted like a beloved, long lost friend.
Not so much as a yip of “warning” from any of them.
The only danger I ever faced was muddy paws and slobbery kisses.
That is why I prefer Dobes.
They consider wherever I am to be “mine” and vigorously guard me from anything within their eyesight...and then some.
My dogs bark at anyone who comes to the neighbor’s house a hundred yards away and when they’re in the car, the car is also sacred.
Pits, bless their hearts, would happily grab a squeak toy and accompany a burglar as he ransacked the house, I think.
:D
I agree completely.
The only problem I have ever had with the pit I had was she became aggressive with the other dogs. Or dogs in the neighborhood. She wasn’t that way in the beginning. Age brought it on. H....kinda sounds like me, lol.
One of the few breeds I’ve never had the pleasure of having in my home is a Dobe...but I’ll take your word and may some day. One just never wandered up to me so far.
One of my pack of seven is a pit bull, rub his belly and he will help you load while you rob my house.
The two to watch out for are my biggest girl (English Mastiff) and my littlest girl (Boarder Collie Mix); both are supposed to be very gentle types, but if anybody invades what they consider to be their space (the entire 20 acre farm) or take their toys (that includes me) they have a tendency to get very medieval real quick.
Gotta Love’m.
