Yesterday, I learned that he can open the front door, and he knows what open means as he told me the door was open. He had let Buffy out and the cold winds in . Can’t turn my back for a minute.

oh ok. I don’t even know what godaddy is other than its a website that has suggestive commercials for the superbowl. Speaking of that, the ridic Vt Teddy bear and pajamagram commercials are back. RME.

my dogs go nuts barking if they see a dog on tv. Davinci started barking on the snowy day bc of a reporter wearing a furry hooded PARKA~! LOL!

I have a rescue dog from a puppy mill. They can’t shut them down fast enough to suit me. The Amish run a lot of them. Puppy mills are very bad places.

My dogs bark at TV doorbells or knocking. They are beautiful animals but not terribly bright.

Our Buffy lived in a log cabin house out in the country. Owner had 4 adult Shih Tzus and a litter of puppies to sell. Clean house and adorable, well loved dogs.

Whatever your opinion on mills, there was nothing I saw in the ad that indicated that it was some “puppy mill.” People were just mad that their heartstrings got played.

Animal fanatics are always at war with breeders and always want more regulation to raise the cost of business.

I know I told you my soninlaw is going to be entering the church. He has been having one on one sessions with the priest that are largely informal and driven by his own personal questions. He asked him about giving to the poor, bc our church is right near in DC by the homeless shelter, there are often a few homeless at daily mass etc. SIL and I have talked about feeling conflicted about giving, I no longer do, bc I think they are largely scamming or going to use it on drugs or alcohol. But with Frank’s obsession with giving to the poor it has made feel guilt. Fr Etsio says not to feel guilt, that giving food is fine, but that rather than giving to the panhandlers, put aside $ each week and give to a charitable organization who helps the poor. He said he himself only gives to the ones he sees in church and even then he has no way to know what they do with the $. SIL says Fr Etsio loves pope Frank etc. so he is going to ask him some questions about the pope and some of the leftwingish stuff he’s doing.

We had a priest come talk to us about Food for the Poor. I think they are reputable as to what they actually do with the money. Extremely low bureaucratic costs compared to other charities.

The van pictured looked sketchy. Private breeders rarely have a van with wrappers.

Holy Rosary does its own outreach being right there in the city a block away, and I know there are no overhead costs taken out etc. Something that SIL found out from Etsio is that bc of whatever type of priest he is, he had to take a vow of poverty and he cannot keep anything of value. I am wondering if he was even able to use the amazon gift card we gave him for Christmas! It has been great having this hotline for questions though. He told SIL to have any of us in the family ask him whatever we want to know. I had him ask about the roman rite v. eastern rite and how that came to be, because I was baptized in the eastern rite at the Ukrainian church and thus was confirmed at the same time as baptism and then when 8th grade rolled around wasn’t allowed to get confirmation with the rest of the class bc you don’t get that sacrament more than once. His acceptance into the church will be on a Saturday the end of next month. No need to wait until Easter, which is when it would be if he had had to do a formal class.
