This is a perfect choice. Hell, Pratt even looks like a young Harrison Ford.

Was just having the same thought. Im guessing a CGI extravaganza with a weaker story than even the last one of that series, which wasn’t all that good.

With everything that is old being new again... wouldn’t it be a hoot to bump theater attendance to release a weekly Indiana Jones installment of a serial before the feature? Like 20 minutes and “to be continued”...

He was super in Guardians of the Galaxy. A slightly less handsome Ryan Reynolds.

Yep, they could do something like a condensed version of the “Young Indiana Jones Chronicals”. I’ll bet they don’t see enough money in a pre-feature serial, though.

Hollywood producers are always chasing the big bucks with their stupid remakes of good movies or inane action movies like "Transformers" or "Pacific Rim" that appeal to lowest common denominator. No wonder that "American Sniper" is making so much money. Americans want a feel good message and not just watch the CGI guys crank out more inane action movies where the characters are 2 dimensional and every one has super Karate skills.

I'm even getting tired of "Banshee" (TV) with this season's over the top shoot'em blood baths. I used to like it. Sorry to see "Justified" go.

Oh for the love of God! Can they do anything but recycle things?

I love history, I love adventure, but why use the same character?
Indiana Jones is no Sherlock Holmes.

It could work if they do it right, tie it into modern day Libya and the Roman ruins.
Just don’t do a silly, it worked before production.

Though it is a shame that we never got River Phoenix. He could’ve done Young IJ and graduated to the adult version.

Because there’s a big Indiana Jones show at MGM. Disney couldn’t screw it up worse than others could (or have ... Crystal Skull?)

I don't see it. Good looking kid, and I loved him in Guardians; but Harrison will always be Han/Indy.

They could make it work but you just know that as someone said upthread it will be a stupid CGI Extravaganza with the dorky quips meant to thrill 5 year olds.

Tie History to the modern history.
Intertwining stories.
Get som character development rather than CGI and doofy one liners.

Not so much as looks, but Pratt has Ford's young cockiness, swagger, build, and scruff down pat.

If you watched "Guardians", you'll know exactly what I mean.

I get it, but what I loved about Indiana Jones was the historical nature of the series and Ford’s mannerisms. A lot of reboots lately have turned old classic series into petty, joke-filled garbage.

Guardians of the Galaxy was a hoot. This guy has the sarcastic wit that fits the Indiana Jones mold. It could work.

Have to take the directing away from Spielberg. His last “kingdom of the Crystal Skulls” was the worst of the four..(.but not without some entertaining scenes)
