They cancelled Hannity tonight for some dude that looks like a queen bee to tell me it's gonna snow in the northeast.

The Communist mayor of NY screwed up shutting down the subway. He also has no right to shut down the roads.

It sounds like a training exercise for Obama to build on. Maybe he should have declared martial law also? There still is no "blizzard" in New York... the roads are probably clear almost everywhere. The "BlizzardMobile is reporting worsening conditions in New Jersey but the windshield has got rain hitting it. OK now he is standing out of the vehicle and it is not snowing on him... but he said that the snow is coming down so fast that the plows can't keep up with it.

They have to justify the cost of Capt. Schempert’s bridge-of-the-Enterprise set....

Oh man! It is worse than I thought, Brook in Boston just scraped a grate with her finger and it looks like they had about half an inch of show with worsening conditions. But they think that somewhere in Massachusetts a few dozen people might have lost their power. But breaking news in New York... they have only an inch or two where they are standing, but they have heard that somewhere there might already be snow drifts up to six inches thick! It is looking bad. I am going to check coverage on the other networks now.

I was at a restaurant this afternoon where CNN was on the TV on the wall above my table. The banner read "Historic Snowfall". I thought to myself, the dang storm hasn't even hit yet and they are calling it "historic". Doesn't history imply something occurring in the PAST? It was like they were marketing the upcoming storm. Can't they even wait until it hits before they add the "historic" modifier?

Of course, I was happy that I was in short sleeves and shorts in Florida. I've lived in the northern climes where the winter can be brutal, Wyoming, Kansas City, Maryland. Never again.

I just went over to see what the coverage on MSNBC was looking like. They were showing Time Square which currently has bare sidewalks, but they said at least a bunch of kids will be waking up happy tomorrow since all of the schools are closed.

Anyone with a negative opinion of Free Republic is not a Conservative. This is the world’s foremost website for breaking news and informed opinion. It’s pro-God, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-military and anti-sodomy. Those not embracing that FR agenda are no friend of America.

Exactly. A newspaper would record events and print them.

Today’s news asshats pretend to know events before they happen.

They need to be held accountable and ridiculed into shame.

Apparently there are some types of travel bans in effect in several states. I have never heard of this before. They must be laughing their butts off at New York up in Canada and Alaska.

Sean actually has two homes on Long Island; the one pictured looks like the one he doesn’t live in. With his demotion to the 10 pm timeslot (and his frequent rants about the confiscatory tax rates in New York), there is reason to believe he will bolt in a couple of years for Texas and a spot on Glenn Beck’s network. He’ll save a fortune in state income taxes and he’ll get a better slot on GBTV. Besides, Fox built a studio for Hannity on Long Island and he could have broadcast tonight’s show from that location. Instead, we got an hour of Shep and his video screens. Believe me, Hannity is like any other TV personality and recognizes a slight—even a minor one.

I’ve also heard that Sean has a vacation home in SW Florida, not far from the place where Neal Boortz retired.

There are bans in place.

I would never adhere to them if I needed to be somewhere.

The sheeple rejoice.

It seems like only MSNBC is really sticking with the narrative; they say the “blizzard” is “intensifying”. Now they are showing Leo, the poodle who is out because his owner says its normally to crowded to walk Leo up to Time’s Square in the middle of the night. Poor Leo is having to brave a quarter inch of snow on the sidewalk.

I hear you. I Like Hannity. I DON’T like the other guy very much. But in fairness, Shepard Smiff is more suited to “snow patrol” than Hannity. It would be kind of beneath Sean, in my opinion. The REAL smart thing is to not have 24/7 snow coverage at all, and have regular programming. But you know better than I how/why they make their decisions ...

OK, now MSNBC is saying that it is “not really about how much snow is falling” but the wind has now brought the visibility down to around a mile in a few spots. It is the wind that is important.
