It's renowned for its swimwear round, stunning dresses and a seemingly never-ending array of beautiful women.
However, last night's Miss Universe final in Miami got hotter than ever - after Miss Colombia, Paulina Vega, 22, was controversially crowned the winner of the beauty pageant.
Instead of the usual cheering, the audience erupted into boos of disapproval as favourite-to-win Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennell only made it to fifth place.
Shortly after Miss Fennell, 22, left the stage in the 63rd annual contest, her name began trending on Twitter along with the hashtag #MissJamaicaShouldHaveWon.

I like the looks of Miss Columbia better. In fact a few others look better to me.

I don’t know. Sometimes short hair works, especially with a long graceful neck... She looks just fine to me. I think the answer about Bolt, the track fellow may have done her in. Wasn’t elitist enough for the rarefied air judges.
Oh, c’mon. These pageants are always rigged.
I remember the Miss America pageants when I was young and there would always be Miss New York or Miss New Jersey with a hooked nose, a thick accent and no personality would finish second or third every year when she clearly wasn’t that hot.
Only later did I figure out this was probably The Mob’s candidate and this was the promoter’s way of making them happy and keeping his legs safe.
Well, hmmmm. I thought “Miss” Colombia looked like a guy in drag.
I lived in SF for 10 years, know what guys in drag look like.
So, what is you opinion of the Wookie?
Judging from the pics, I would have voted for Miss Australia. Miss Lithuania is a stunner too.
I dont see what the issue is here, I found miss Columbia FAR prettier, and thought 5th was about right for Miss Jamaica who I personally dont find very attractive.

The sense of entitlement by the Feral Amish is not amazing - only expected.
This is as bad as the “Whitest Oscar Awards Since 1998”!
Some women look okay with their hair chopped off - most don’t.
