I have not heard whether the 11 balls in question were actually used during the game.

However, I would imagine that those that were used could possibly lose some pressure from players falling on them during plays, etc.

But, I remember: “Sammy, say it ain’t so!”
Corked bats? Never! Well, almost never. That split bat with cork inside was just a fluke.

"I'm not a science computer,"

Tom Brady hates science computer Americans!

—I have not heard whether the 11 balls in question
—were actually used during the game.

There are 12 balls per side.
11:12 balls were deflated
Unless they played with only one ball (unlikely)
or 11:12 balls were defective in some way (unlikely)

Those balls were purposely manipulated
a breach in NFL game rules.

Let’s say the balls in question were underinlated....so...this is big news compared to what’s going on in the nation? Look at the time that’s been spent on this issue compared to important news.

Agree, Sports are Way down the Totem Pole
compared to the character of the Western World.

It has been reported none of the balls were used during the second half.

Go Pats!!

After they found the under inflated balls they re inflated them at halftime. That being said, does that mean that if you've been married for 20 years, it's ok to cheat on your spouse for the first 10 years?

Bread and Circus everybody! This is the most important thing going on in the world right now. Balls! Balls! Balls! All we care about right now is balls.

You can bet that at least 150 million Americans are going to tune into the Super Bowl next week, dwarfing the 115.5 million that watched last year's Super Bowl, looking to see how Tom Brady does with fully inflated balls.

This will be a huge windfall for the NFL and the sponsors who will be running ads. A record TV audience. Huge revenues for the NFL and the football clubs involved. Everybody is going to come out a winner in this.

It's all about the balls.

It becomes a super sketch when they do the spoof on A Few Good Men. That was brilliant connecting to the movie. Plus, the juxtaposition of football to the Marines keeping us safe is priceless. Which one REALLY matters?

The score after halftime
NE - 28
IN - 0

Looks like it didn’t help IN or hurt NE to have inflated balls.

Generally speaking, I agree with you. Not that big a deal in the overall scheme of things compared to other issue.

But consider; if we can’t get the NFL to play by the rules, how in Gods name can we ever expect to get government to play by the rules?

It’s systematic of the bigger problem. And If we can’t get people worked up enough over something they seem to care about, to fix it; We’re NEVER going to get them worked up enough to fix the important stuff.

Personally, I think the New Englnd Patriots ought to be renamed: The New England Democrats. It’s more fitting.

"It has been reported none of the balls were used during the second half."

And Tom Brady, who was adamant about the way the Patriots ball attendants prep the footballs so that they are perfect (just the way he likes them), had nooooo idea there was a problem, and nooooo idea that the officials had either altered or replaced his footballs, until Monday morning when somebody asked him about it in an radio interview. Nobody even bothered to relay that info to Tom before he took to the field in the second half? Not even the Patriots-employed ball attendants whose duties include making sure nobody altered the footballs that were, before halftime, perfect (just the way Brady liked them)? And now Belichick, who a few days ago had no clue about air pressure in footballs, is now giving science seminars to the press on air pressure in footballs? Face it, Brady and Belichick are liars and the SNL actor's impression of Brady was pretty dead on.

And yes, there are more important things going on in this country and the world. But not in the sports world. In the sports world, The Super Bowl and associated stories are "hugh" sports stories. Keeping it in context is important.

Of course, Patriot fans would like to think it's the most important thing happening in the world and they get very petty and downright ugly to those who don't bow at the altar of Belichick and Brady. They are rabid and pretty sick individuals and probably the main reason why other fans do not like the Patriots. If the Pats win you can gaurantee it will be the most important thing going on in the world from a Masshole's perspective. But look at their poor lives... that's all they have. So at least they will have something to keep their pitiful hearts warm until the snow melts in June... :-)

I think the 12th ball was kept at the proper pressure for use when the kicker was going for a field goal or extra point.

Maybe the refs should have handled the problem by deflating the Colts' footballs to the same pressure.
