Al Pacino has been acting for nearly half a century and during that time, he says he’s never really considered what other job he might be suited for—until now.

Pacino says he thinks he’d be a good short order cook.

He does have experience. Pacino played an ex-con who works in a diner in the 1991 film “Frankie and Johnny,” which was shot in a working eatery. “I could do this, be a short order cook,” he remembers thinking at the time. …

They didn’t mean hashish. So no “say hallo to my little freng” references.

Rather refreshing. Says he makes a good two egg breakfast. Normally fine actors are sure they should be a senator, or a president.

There is a Canadian stand-up comic named Brent Butt (no, seriously...) who one day asked himself “What would I be doing right now if I hadn’t decided to go into show biz?”

His answer to himself was “I’d probably be back in my home town in Saskatchewan pumping gas.”

He took that idea and parlayed it into Corner Gas, one of the most successful Canadian TV comedies of all time. Of course he plays a guy who pumps gas in rural Saskatchewan.

Well we have an actor in the WH now playing president, and it is the worst portrayal of a president in history.

He'd sling you some hash but tell you to:
Look, but don't touch!
Touch, but don't taste!
Taste, but don't swallow!

He could have been slinging hash for the Fighting 103rd. Then he would have wound up like this guy:

******

Pacino is one of my all time favorites. Serpico and Sea of Love are two of my favorite Pacino movies.

I read this story about Pacino when he was first starting out as a hollywood actor.

1. Before the Godfather, Pacino lived a simple life in a modest apartment complex in Los Angeles.

2. he enjoyed his simple life, where he could come and go as he pleased.

3. Then the Godfather came out, and all hell broke loose.

4. One day soon after the Godfather came out, Pacino returned to his simple apartment, where to his surprise, he found all these beautiful women waiting to meet him.

5. Pacino was so stunned, he didn't know what to do.

6. But I guess he learned that the quiet and simple life he enjoyed before the Godfather was gone forever.

At last an honest actor! I know of no other profession that has so little self-esteem about what they do that they must have dozens of shows honoring each other. Can you imagine the same for, oh, janitors? “And here, accepting the Cleanie for the shiniest commodes is. . .”.

He is one of the greatest actors. I just hope he keeps his mouth shut about politics.
