I am sorry for your loss. Sometimes things go wrong even during routine “safe” surgery, sometimes even for humans.
Know that your furbaby had as good a life as you gave it for the duration.
I am so very sorry and am praying for you and your beloved kitty. We found a quite young little cat under our deck, hiding, several months ago. She joined our other cats in our kitty compound out in back, but is still a bit feral. I had her spayed yesterday, and wondered at the time how often there were complications. She did fine, and it just makes me sick to hear of your loss. You should never feel guilt at taking her in, you were doing the right thing.
