Stemedica is a biotechnology company that manufactures allogeneic adult stem cells in its U.S. government licensed, cGMP facility in San Diego, California.

Remarkable and potential great news for us all.
Oh, does Obamacare cover this? Seems to be available to sports legends, and, probably, worthless politicians, but I repeat myself...
Nevertheless, Godspeed, Mr. Hockey!

A friend of mine, female in her 50’s just had a similar treatment. She was dying from Multiple Myeloma. Had intensive chemo and stem cell therapy. She just came home. Hoping and Praying for her recovery.

I still say the New bridge over the Detroit river should be named after him. Sounds like it will become its informal name anyway.

WOW...GREAT NEWS!!!
Thank you for sharing.
I was one of the coaches who coached Gordie's sons, Mark & Marty way back before they went up to Junior A. However, in reality, Colleen was the real contact with the family.
They were on one of several Little Caesar's kids teams.

I hope not, he’s not the nicest guy. My ex Nhl buddy who died last January knew him well. He’d always pull the “don’t you know who I am?” if he got hit or anything. He was free to dish it out though. Pat Quinn was a guy I met through Cal, and he was a real stand up guy.
On topic, I hope he recovers to enjoy his remaining time on earth.

Dear Lord, bless Gordie Howe and family. Guide those involved in his care treatment. Amen.

My experiences are contrary to yours. My father was friends with Gordie and we would visit his home often. He took care of his elderly mother or mother in law, I don’t recall which, but he played pool with us in his basement and let us ride the stair chair.
Naming the new US-Canada bridge after him would be a huge honor. I have nothing but respect for the man.

Note that "stem cell" treatment always means adult stem cell treatment (that stuff really works).
Any promising future treatment involving Embryonic Stem Cells is always called Embryonic Stem Cells (and this never really pans out).
The public is generally left with the idea that stem cells are great -- and it's good use of embryos. Which is a false conclusion, but fits the agenda nicely.
Wishing the best for Howe. Glad the adult stem cell treatment is helping.

But he’s beloved on both sides of the border and people already call it the Gordy Howe bridge.

It is quite possible then that he changed after his playing years.
Cal only knew him from hockey.
That is great if he turned around from the way he was.

Well, if the other poster was being honest, it sounds to me like he changed his ways after his hockey days.
If that is the case, I have no problem with it then. Well, the only problem I would have is that he was not a Hab heh.

I’m heartened to hear about this but if the Left and the media ever got behind it, it would be as a way to sell more abortions.
I’d want to know where the stems cells came from before supporting it.

I like the Jets, because that’s who Cal played for. But my old man is a Montreal fan, and it eventually wore off on me. You have to admit, they do have the nicest jerseys in the NHL.
