Our public library in this suburban town has a pond next to it. One day surprised I saw a beaver traversing through the tall reeds at one end of it. Didn’t expect to see one at this location.

It is a standing rule on my land that I will offer $20 for every beaver tail that someone removes from my land.
log chewing, water jokers.
water slapping, flat-tailed rascals.

I live in the city. We have beaver set up in the ponds and streams of the local metro parks. Granted we have a large park system that surrounds and intertwines the city, but you see a few if you look.
Four legged ones, too.

After we’ve totally befouled and polluted our ‘nest’ to the uninhabitable for humans stage - it is the beaver who will restore the natural landscape, creating the habitat needed for all other fish, fowl and fur ‘people’ -

I own a 12 acre lake, as soon as I see the V going across the lake I grab my rifle.
People who haven’t lived around them have no idea of how destructive the little furry things are.

thank god for the European craze of beaver skin hats in 1700 and 1800 we might have had global warming 200 years earlier if the beaver trappers had not removed the threat by over hunting beaver pelts. I guess those fur trapper saved are lives.

Uh huh. So, some "scientists" from a university have cleverly deduced that beavers, God's little dam making furries with the funny flat tails are creating more methane today than they did a hundred years ago. How do they know? Did they go back in a time machine and measure it? Did they find all the beavers and do they even know how many beavers there are in the world. How do they know the beavers are responsible for the increase in methane? Has there even been an increase in methane? -- The questions go on and on.
Can we sequester all the GlowBull warming "scientists" and other agents provocateur in the Gobi desert without food and water for a month and see if that has a positive net effect on the Earth's climate? I think it will.
