Expected result.

Cut 3 fingers off of his nephew?

PTSD, I’d say.

I was in the Navy, but during peacetime, never in combat. Does anyone know what today’s military does to prepare their enlisted personnel for life outside of the military? Do they make it easy to get help or counseling for emotional problems. Or do you take a chance of having your discharge date postponed if it you look in need of psychiatric help?
This is a tragedy from any perspective.

ptsd i am sure factors in, but the guy in the end chooses how he acts. to wit, not everyone with ptsd murders people. or takes it out on others.

Makes me wonder if the victims had Restraining Orders against him.

Prayers up for them. Hope all idiot libs take a lesson from this and see that worthless pieces of paper are of no use when a deranged killer comes calling.

I read somewhere else that Stone was only in Iraq for two or three months - sounds like a tour of duty cut short because of some problems, pre-existing or triggered.

I don’t know; custody battles are brutal.

I wonder how many unsolved homicides are related to custody battles/impending divorces.

Absolutely.

Dark Humor: Kill her or divorce her? You’ll spend less time in court and be out of jail scot free in 20 years.

So he had ‘problems’ before he even got there, sound like.
Maybe he personally thought he had ‘the right stuff’ to succeed, and decided to do or to say whatever was needed to go forward.

He was only 35; in the picture he looks north of 50.

Here in NJ they’re overhauling the divorce laws to end payments for life and tweak some other aspects of it; the state is finally realizing that destroying marriage couldn’t be fixed by importing millions of foreigners who just want freebies without contributing anything to the common pot.

And I read he only served in the reserves. Whatever. Doesn’t sound to me like he saw much action to have contracted PTSD from his military service.

But I defer to those who have served. They would know more about this than I.

And he had multiple DUIs.

That trumps all else, in terms of the causation-motivating elements, IMO.

IOW he’s f’d up in the head, and suicide drives another piece of evidence home on that.

Reservists make up 2/3 of those deployed. Don’t know how much action he saw, but that is not a normal rotation in the AOR.

Anyone who slaughters his family has pre-existing issues, IMO. Feminism has created more monsters than any war ever could. Latch key kids have no guidance AND NO DISCIPLINE OF THE KIND ONLY A FATHER CAN GIVE.
