Mine favorite is the 1984 version with George C. Scott. In my opinion Scott plays the part od Scrooge as it should be by portraying him a straight hard cold man and not a cartoon charecter that many actors turn him into by over playing. Also I believe no over version has such a truely superb supporting cast with ever actor fitting their part as if they walked right out of Dickens novel.

The 1951 Black and White version of the Alastair Sim. I thought it was more realistic.

I thought the Alastair Sim version was considered best.

Im in the Captain Picard fan club.

I do like Patrick Stewart’s Scrooge, but I also have a place in my heart for Bill Murray’s scrooge

I still have a warm spot in my heart for the Aleister Sim version and I always loved the Albert Finney musical. The Mister Magoo one is also great but then again, I pretty much love them all and watch them every year at Christmas.

I love the 1951 black and white version with Alastair Sim. A close second is the one with Patton.

Mr Magoo. Because of Jim Baucus and the songs.

Of the human ones, the 1951 Alistair Sims one.

Agreed. George c Scott is perfect, and it holds up well over time the older one just seems, well, old. I can’t get into it like the 80s version

I liked the 1951 version called “Scrooge” rather tan “A Christmas Carol”

I don’t think I’ve seen any of the regular movies. But I do love the Mr. Magoo version. The songs are great, and it very much conveys the truth of the story. The ghost of Christmas yet-to-come is quite scary.
