After weathering one of the most embarrassing days in her career, during which her racially insensitive remarks were disseminated on the Internet, Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal is ready to begin the "healing process," and reached out to the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

"I'm being proactive," the executive tells The Hollywood Reporter. "And I want to accept responsibility for these stupid, callous remarks."

Pascal said one of the first calls she made today — after a leaked email exchange between her and producer Scott Rudin became the most buzzed-about topics in town and throughout the country — was to Jackson.

Did Pascal, got caught making racist comments about Obama, leave her credit card information during her phone calls with the Jackson and Sharpton? Looking forward to Sony making a large six figure or seven figure donation to Jackson's and Sharpton's "charities". If the head people in Tokyo had any guts they would fire Pascal and not give a cent. This shows when it comes to the battle between the Race Hustlers and Jezebel Feminists the Hustlers win out.

Translation: I’m trying to get out ahead of the media spin, and I hope that by mouthing the “I want to accept responsibility” mumbo jumbo, which is the secular equivalent of wearing sackcloth and ashes, I will escape any ACTUAL consequences for what I did.

Saying that you “want to accept responsibility” is not about accepting responsibility or even wanting to accept responsibility. It’s about wanting to be seen as someone who has said the words “I want to accept responsibility”.
