After weathering one of the most embarrassing days in her career, during which her racially insensitive remarks were disseminated on the Internet, Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal is ready to begin the "healing process," and reached out to the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
"I'm being proactive," the executive tells The Hollywood Reporter. "And I want to accept responsibility for these stupid, callous remarks."
Pascal said one of the first calls she made today after a leaked email exchange between her and producer Scott Rudin became the most buzzed-about topics in town and throughout the country was to Jackson.

Two big liberal Hollywood machers poke some gentle fun at a politician they figure they own, and behold the crap storm just because said politician is half Negro. Pascal is forced to grovel to Sharpton by her corporate owners, but I hope at least Rudin has enough chutzpah to tell Rev Al to shove it up his ani-Semitic lynch mob-leading ass.
I can dream, anyway...
Not feeling too sorry for this person, but that email exchange seems harmless!
If she were a White Male or a Conservative she would have been FIRED ALREADY.
She needs a black beret and knee pads.
She ought to make a couple of insensitive remarks about Sharpton and Jackson before going postal on the white guilt road. That will give it some kind of a reason.
Words spoken by Amy P. can never be retracted, and she knows it.
What has been heard, cannot be unheard.
******
Maybe she is worried that minorities will demonstrate at her big, expensive house, or burn her house down.
Or, maybe she is worried about losing her job and she will have to go on food stamps.
Sad that a person of such accomplishment should feel the need to abase themselves to the likes of Sharpton and Jackson. But wait Pascal is a liberal; never mind.
So she called Al Sharpton “Reggie Jackson” Don’t we all?
From an unnamed source:
I have always questioned if Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton were
really preachers since they have no church.
When I heard Al Sharpton was guest preacher in our town, I decided to check him out in person and see what it was all about.
I sat down and Sharpton came up to me - I dont know why, maybe it was because I was the only white person in the Church.
He laid his hands on my hand and said: By the will of Jesus the Lord All Mighty, and the will of God, you will walk today.
I told him I was not paralyzed. He came back and laid his hands on me again, and repeated the same thing.
Again I told him there is nothing wrong with me.
After the sermon I stepped outside and lo and behold, my car had been stolen.
