It turns out that people aren't eating as many McHamburgers as they used to, which is a big problem if your business is all about slinging meat. So McDonald's is hoping the novelty of its "Create Your Taste" ordering kiosks will lure some customers back in. The machines will be installed in 2,000 of its US outlets by the end of 2015.

Artificial intelligence doesn’t unionize (yet...).

Are they paying the kiosks a living wage?

not being able to order by touchscreen isn’t why i don’t eat mcdonalds products anymore. maybe they ought to really take a minute to learn why less folks are eating their stuff.

Why should I pay for some minimum wage stooge to press the wrong buttons when I can press the wrong buttons myself?

Can’t happen fast enough.

I don’t eat there often, but when I do I go to the cashier and say: “I’ll have a #1 Combo, with a small coke, small fries.”

And that kind of complicated ordering always seems to throw them into a tailspin. It’s beyond their intellectual capacity to figure out what to serve me.

Oh great, now the workers have hundreds of order options to screw up rather than the 25 or so they get wrong now.

Two workers per shift; to restock the cooking robot and mop the bathrooms.

Why not do it in the Drive-Thru? Eliminate that first window and it’s employees. (around here...still young white kids working at their first job)

Thanks Obama. Now you’re even destroying the McJobs

I like it. That touch screen is making sure that $15.00 per hour will never happen. Stupid community organizers
