California produces the same economic output as Italy with 37% fewer people

With 4.4% of the world's population, the U.S. produced 22.3% of world GDP in 2012. Not bad.

I don’t think that Utah is pulling it’s weight.

Now THAT is interesting.

Yet we are constantly being told how great and wonderful all these other places are and how we are a bunch of rubes, except for the enlightened liberals.

Saving it now, thanks!

But doncha know, dat's cuz we took it from the under-developed peeples of the planet?

Yupper, ships parking right now in Long Beach Harbor, laden with the Treasures of Sierra Leone, pulled right from the mouths of babes.

Or so alleges our "President".

Is moving from Canada to Australia a promotion or demotion?

Another way to look at it is that the US GDP is greater than ALL of those countries put together.

It would be interesting to see each state’s population listed along with the comparison country’s population.

RE: Belgium. Pathetic.

Think of it this way, Belgium has 11.2 million people today. North Carolina has about 9.8 Million.

North Carolina is over 10% more productive than Belgium ( the seat of the EU ). NOT BAD !

RE: G’day, mate.

Texas still has some ways to go to catch up with Australia’s productivity. Texas has 26.5 million people while Australia has 23 Million.

That’s good, but Belgium is not cool. All they have is battlefields, which they didn’t earn except by being between conflicting parties.
