The Redskins will say they're not giving up on Robert Griffin III, that he can be developed, that he can still become the quarterback they hoped he would be -- and expected him to be -- when they gave up four draft picks for him in 2012.
It's hard to believe them. Everything else suggests this is the end for Griffin in Washington.

Puh-leese. RG III isn’t going anywhere. The Redskins are done this year, and he is being put on the shelf to prevent wear and tear because their offensive line sucks, and they know it.
Romo is a flawed QB in many respects, but he is also very underrated.
Consider: the guy was un-drafted. He came from nowhere to being among the Top 10 QB’s every year he’s been a starter. He’s very productive and, despite his many notable late-game choke jobs, is actually very clutch.
He doesn’t have elite arm strength, but he is quite accurate, and has an uncanny ability at escaping pressure, keeping plays alive, and then completing them.
He doesn’t have a Hall of Fame resume at this time, but he is a huge overachiever when you consider that he came from a small school and wasn’t drafted.
He has a three year window to win a SB. With that offensive line, it’s not entirely out of the question, provided that they can upgrade the defense over the next couple of drafts. Garrett has matured as a coach, and Jerry Jones, egomaniac that he is, seems to be learning from his mistakes. He regretted not drafting Randy Moss, so he made sure to get Dez Bryant. He regretted neglecting the offensive line for so long, so made it a priority over the last four years, even though it meant passing on Johnny Football. And he remembered what it was like playing Musical Quarterback after Aikman retired, so he made sure he locked Romo up.
Romo has a great opportunity this year to silence some critics. I sure hope he does.
Makes it all the more a shame that he got the Rookie of the Year honors instead of Luck.
Cowboys need an elite pass rusher to get them over the hump.
I think they will go hard for Suh in the off-season.
If Jerry had his way, he would have drafted Manziel.
Jerry Jones wanted to pick Johnny Manziel, had draft card ‘snatched’ (insert Beavis and Butthead laughter).

I hear Tebow is still looking to be QB. And he has actually won playoff games in addition to having a wining NFL record.
Imagine RGIII and Dez Bryant on the same team??? I dunno...
“the Jets looked terrible with him at QB”
The Jets looked terrible, period.
Benched for Sunday’s game... I’m not seeing it. There’s no talent there just hype.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
If Andrew Luck ever gets a real running game to back him up, watch out.
Let the Riots begin !!!
I don't think that will happen. The thug element of the "black community" doesn't much care for RG3 since he's a Christian, comes from a military family and speaks proper English. He's on the USSA commercials and doesn't use ebonics. In fact, he was referred to as "cornball Uncle Tom" by one of the racist breeds of holderites. So, this Sunday when white QB Colt McCoy replaces Griffin, there won't be much of an outcry IMHO.
And Romo was horrible against Washington.
Everybody compares Romo’s game against Jacksonville to Weeden’s against Arizona like they were comparable. Arizona was 8-1. Jacksonville was 1-8.
that was awful game....
I'm pretty pumped up bout the game tomorrow. Now if they were to play up in yankee land, I'd say Philly might have the edge.
Will see. I think the boy’z are gonna make quick work of’em.
Good luck...well, not really. Guess that's the polite thang to say. lol
Forty years later, I still remember my indigestion.
Precisely!
I think he's finished no matter what happens Sunday. And don't get me wrong here, I'm a die hard Redskin luvin', Dallas hatin' fan. (actually, I don't hate)
RG3 simply is not ready to be a qb, he may not even be a qb. He's talented, works hard, and no doubt could be a player (maybe a wr), but not now. They had to ditch the game plan in last the game against San Fran after the first half because he simply could not execute the plays. They had to go back to training camp basics.
We all thought we had something great after RG's first year but the facts are he was a one trick pony, and once the league caught on to that trick, he was a loser.
You know, we could have gotten Andrew Luck instead of RG, for a lot less.
The question is, would we have ruined him too??
