Seattle, Washington, one of the strongest remaining bastions of liberal philosophy left in the country, passed a phased-in $15 minimum wage law earlier this year. The highest minimum wage in the country. The vote was unanimous and the throng outside cheered, but for many this is a loss from which they will never recover. It is a blow to the profitability of business that they just can't take.

Liberals have to learn the hard way. Good I hope every one of these idiots lose everything they had and some. Then they can become public speakers and travil all over the world and talk about the evils of Socialism.

What? Do you mean that there are consequences to raising the minimum wage? Good liberals are finding that they don’t have an economic utopia when you raise the minimum wage??? Liberals are finding that the business world reacts in ways they don’t want to see, when they impose a new feel good law on business????

I’m shocked, just shocked.. I thought liberals were the smartest people in the world, and that liberals were going to tell us all how to live our lives........

Only the “useful idiots” have something to learn.

The commies instituting this know exactly what they’re doing - expanding a proletariat susceptible to their propaganda of envy towards the rich who will then give them power to make things “fair”.

I left Seattle almost four years ago (after spending 45 years there). There have been so many decisions made their since I’ve left where I’ve responded with, “Yet another reason I left Seattle.” It started with Big Dig West.

They don’t learn. That’s why they remain voters with that “stupidity” thing Gruber so desperately needed.....

THEY NEVER LEARN.

They will never admit they’re wrong. They’ll just repackage their argument and say it’s the other guy’s fault.

Can’t they just pass a New Law making it Illegal for those evil businesses to reduce an employee’s hours, shutdown, or move away??

I don’t know what the price of a Big Mac will be, but odds are you’ll be ordering it from a kiosk.

. It is a blow to the profitability of business that they just can't take.

That problem is usually solved in a competitive market by raising the cost of services.

However if this minimum wage increase applies only to Seattle, nearby business on the outskirts of Seattle won't have to raise prices and the Seattle businesses are at a disadvantage. -Tom

In your dreams. Libtards never think what they are doing is wrong. They only think it failed because they weren't allowed to do enough of it.

Have you actually ever tried reasoning with these idiots?

That’s not the way it works with liberals, unfortunately. They rarely, if ever, see the failings of their warped agenda and correct for it. It’s all about controlling everyone else to fit their world view. Liberals all have a little fascist inside of them screaming to get out.

This was never about helping the poor. This was always designed to reduce the number of “those people” on the highways and beaches. Welcome to liberal land!

The Pagliacci Pizza chain that does a lot of delivery is moving it's call center out of the city.

The media will spin this a somehow based on greed.

Maybe those $15/hr. fast food workers used the extra money to buy pot and forgot to go to work.
