Thank you.....I’ve been looking for music to take my mind away from politics!

"The audio curator at Edison National Historic Site rummages through the archives of the legendary Edison Laboratory of West Orange, New Jersey. Tune in for Edison cylinder and disc record rarities, many not heard since "the old man" himself stashed them away, featuring: Tin Pan Alley pop songs, ragtime, vaudeville comedy sketches, flapper dance bands, old-time country tunes, historic classical music, laboratory experiments and other artifacts - all dating from 1888 through 1929. "
Yeh, I know what you mean... I’m a news junkey, but I’ve been taking a break from it for the last few months :)
But I always vote... I’ll be here Tuesday night to check results.
Thank you very much. I’m glad they were able to save those recordings. I saw some wax cylinder recordings and the player for them when I was a child.
One of the things I have always loved about FR is the great links people post.
One of my favorite types of music.

The show is Judy Carmichael's Jazz Inspired. She does a great job with interviews and play some music too. She is a musician herself.

Jack Teagarden - She’s a Great, Great Girl
Just finished listening to the program. What a lot of great music, history, etc. Talk about turning the clocks back!
Thoroughly enjoyable. I’ve got that station bookmarked now.
Made my night, thanks.
I’m assuming that must have been the Roger Wolfe Kahn recording, in which Teagarden soloed. When Teagarden hit the NY scene, he became the studio sideman most in demand, taking over Miff Mole’s spot.
Well what do you know...
I recently picked up a couple of Earthworks albums that I’ve really been enjoying.
